Refunds and cancellation
Last updated 30 October 2026
We want paying for FocusJourno to feel as calm as using it. Here's how the free trial, cancelling and refunds work.
The free trial
Every new account starts with 14 days free. You don't give a payment method to start the trial, so there's nothing to cancel: if you don't choose a plan, you're never charged. Your work stays in your account, and you can still sign in to read it and download it.
Cancelling a subscription
- You can cancel at any time from Account → Manage subscription in the app. Or email us at hello@focusjourno.app, and we'll cancel it for you.
- You keep everything until the end of the month or year you've paid for. After that, you won't be charged again.
- Cancelling doesn't delete anything. You can still sign in to read your work and download it, and you can subscribe again at any time.
Refunds
- If you're not happy with FocusJourno, email hello@focusjourno.app within 14 days of a charge, from the email address on your account, and we'll refund that charge in full. This includes a renewal you forgot to cancel.
- After 14 days, charges can't be refunded, except where the law requires it. You can still cancel at any time, so you aren't charged again.
- Refunds are paid by our payment provider, Dodo Payments, to the card or account you paid with. They usually appear within 5 to 10 working days, depending on your bank.
Paying in India
If you pay in rupees with UPI or an Indian card, your bank notifies you before each renewal, as Reserve Bank of India rules require. You can cancel at any time before the renewal date.
